To Move On

Inevitably, we all at one time or another will have to face the tremendous loss of our faithful animal friends, as they unfortunately have a shorter life span than do we. "God", only loans us the beautiful souls in animal bodies to warm and bring comfort and companionship to our lives. They belong to "Heaven", and only come to "us", as they are needed.

To say goodbye is difficult as the trusting eyes that always depended on us to solve even the most inexplicable problems, can not surpass Mother Nature's draw on their continuum. The true gift is the desire in our hearts to nurture and grow with an animal, as they are much more in tune with the universal spirit that we, as human beings in our proud pursuit of logical answers, can only witness from afar. To caringly watch their instincts at work "without prejudice", is the truest education. Their "gifts", are meant to help guide us to the light of life that exists in a world of faith and nature. Nowhere else is this highest knowledge available and no more valuable a lesson can be learned.

Having been down this intrepid path for multiple decades I've learned that the real lesson is to be an animal lover regardless of the hurt of loss. God's greatest wisdom's dictate that once you are an animal person, you are a special breed that will always have love in your heart, and with that in mind will always in some way, be an animal parent.

Just as animals have an uncanny ability to home, so do their spirits. In my experience, my "animal friends", have always returned to me. Their eyes are the windows to their souls. In my own segue's I have always seen my previous pets souls in the eyes of my present ones, and I believe that "God", has a special control over this process. In my opinion, those who truly loved their pets will invariably see them again, one way or another...

An animal friends' love is the purest of all... They give everything.
